TCM in Basel:
Acupressure-Tuina Massage & Qi Gong
Experience Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Basel through clothed massages, complemented by Qi Gong. Mindful, structured, and individually tailored.
Traditional Chinese Medicine – a holistic view of health
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) looks at health concerns in relation to the body, emotions, lifestyle, and external influences. The aim is to better understand physical signals and support the body's natural self-regulation. It includes various methods such as acupressure, tuina massage, qi gong, and acupuncture, which are used in a targeted manner depending on the situation.
Do you suffer from stress, exhaustion, or physical issues such as tension or sleep disorders? A TCM treatment can help with acute as well as chronic complaints and open up new perspectives in dealing with certain illnesses.
TCM is considered as a complementary approach to Western medicine. It does not replace medical diagnosis, but can usefully supplement it and help identify connections.

Tuina massage – traditional, respectful, and fully clothed
In Chinese medicine, acupressure and tuina massage are traditionally performed with the patient fully clothed and covered with a towel. This TCM massage, which has been established for centuries, creates a clear, protected environment and promotes relaxation and trust.
Unlike acupuncture, acupressure is performed without needles and uses targeted pressure on specific points and meridians to regulate and relax.

1 | Initial Consultation
Arrival
You tell me what is currently bothering you - physically or in your everyday life. Together, we define the goal of the treatment and discuss how to proceed.
2 | Qi Gong
Preparing the body
Gentle movements and breathing exercises help you to ground yourself in your body. Qi Gong is calm and flowing - similar to Tai Chi - and prepares you for treatment.
3 | Acupressure - Tuina massage
set the pace
Using targeted massage techniques and pressure, I work along the meridians—
—similar to acupuncture, but without needles. This allows the body to respond, release tension, and enter a state of self-regulation.
